Flight over Two Ngonpo is inspired by my very first encounter with a sacred lake. Far in the highlands of Qinghai at 3260m above, the water is as clear as the sky. At the break of dawn, the lake emerges from sleep and and transforms into infinite prisms of light.

I have not visited Tso Ngonpo again ever since, but my fascination took me to many highland lakes, each time leaving me with a fresh sense of wonder. To recreate her sublime beauty by words or painting seems futile to me, but what I wish to capture is the sense of awe for purity and oneness with the heaven and earth.
